Where is it?

Ok, i am in a rush so unfortunetly, i cannot reserach this more...but could someone please tell me where the Cold Start Valve is on my TPI unit? I think I need to replace it, so that my car stops stalling when i start it cold. I will be replacing that, the IAC and the TPS...i am having lots of problems with the car's idle, and it likes to stall on a cold start and run really rough. So if someone could please tell me where it is on the TPI unit, so i can change it, that would be great. Thankx.

its on the bottom of the drivers side runner,, in the middle of the tubes
ps. you might want to change the thermo time switch, locatred next to the coolant temp senosr in the front of th eintake manifold, this is the sensor that controls the cs valve..

no problem,
the coolant temp sensor is in the front of the intake manifold.. if you take off the air tubing to the tb you can see it better.

before you go buy any parts, take the IAC off and clean it,we used to see lots of GM cars with that symptom at the shop.A good hard shot of choke spray healed a lot of em

Ron...

Took a look today between the tubes, and could not find it.

86ZZ4...

Yea, these symptoms are really driving me nuts. Stalls a few times when cold...rough idle when cold....when its JUST warmed up past 100 degrees, you could floor the car, and it hesitates badly...doesnt go anywhere...stumbles...shakes...its like i can hear a knocking sound almost...if i let off the throttle, it slowly speeds up. Low RPM at a stop sign, traffic light. But I will have to try that out...cleaning the IAC first.

Thanks guys for helping me out...I really appreciate your help!

hmm, the dieing problem when you floor it sound like you are dropping fuel prressure or have mass air flow taking a dump.My buddys TPI el-camino was doing that kinda stuff last week, felt like it was dropping fuel pressure to nothing ,turned out to be a MAF,also, it was setting no codes

I suspect it might be a fuel pump...the problem seems to be intermittent...not really constant...just got out of work....seemed to run good. And yea, i dont get any codes right now for anything. I was also thinking fuel injectors. I just want this damn engine to run good until i can get a REAL motor in it.
