AFPR, can they go bad?

I have a crane AFPR and i have it backed out and im reading 60psi. I took my reading with the vacume line off. Can these go bad? If so, what are the symptoms? I had disconnected my FMU for the supercharger and jsut reconnected it, tested my psi, and I can't seem to get it below 60. I'm replacing the motor in a week so i'm not too concerned but would like to fix it.

I wuold say you probabaly have a blocked fuel line, fuel filter or afpr. In my experience when the diaphram inside the fpr goes bad the fuel pressure goes down and shows unstable readings on your fuel pressure gauge.
