cold air system or similiar?

anyone know where to buy a cold air intake system or something similiar with better flow than the stock intake tubes and mass air flow sensor, ive recently seen some on cars in magazines, but where can i get one. i have a 1989 formula 350, gutted cats, flowmaster exhaust, and a k&n airfilter, any idea what kinda hp its got?, and i got a hooked up stereo.

www.slponline.com has one, runs about $200. Lots of people have made their own for $50-100. Do a search on "CAI" or "cold air."

if u do plan on getting the SLP kit, all u really need is the box itself ($80?), they pretty much resuse the rest of the intake tubbing.

Goto the site in my sig and goto CAI. An alternative to SLP & it looks great.

yeah, it looks like on the slp site it is all the same stuff except the box, but i like the custom designs better cuz there is entirely no box, but one question, the guy second to the top said on his website that the muffler pipe withstands heat better than the pvc pipe, both designs look great. thanks

I have a similar setup to 3.1EyeCandy, except i took a 3" hole saw and cut a hole where the filter would sit. I then used a peice of PVC from the original downpipe through the hole to a K&N air filter.

I decided to use the muffler pipe for a couple of reasons. One was heat tolerance because someone else posted they had trouble with some melting and if it does happen to come in contact with any belts or moving parts it won't cut thru causing an unfiltration problem and MAF code due to leakage.
