HELP: "Port Solenoid"....what is it?

Im rewiring a TPI harness from a SD TPI car....got the wiring diagrams for it...and I THINK i have everything figured out....both the black connectors are finished....and only the yellow/green connector remains....however...on the diagram...there are 22 wires....on my harness...there are only 21...i looked...and I think the mess up is in pin GF1 or GF2. GF1 is the Manual Trans Shift Light Control....tan/blk wire. GF2 is a port (switch) solenoid...brn wire. Right now on the connector...there is a brown wire coming from the GF1 pin location...and there is a random brown wire coming out of the harness...i thought maybe this was for the M/T shift light.....but why isnt it tan/blk? this is really frustrating....is there anyway to check the wires? Im 90% sure the rest are correct.

Heres something I noticed....

GF1: Tan/Blk - M/T Shift Light Control
GF6: Tan/Blk - TCC Control A/T

I had to cut the original harness connector because it was broken...the harness was from an Automatic car....i bought all three harness connectors off a guy on ebay......the pins were SLIGHTLY different (GF1 and GF2 being different...the old connector had neither) Could it be that the new connector was from a m/t car...and all I need to do is put the GF6 wire to the GF1 wire to convert it from Auto to Manual? hmmmm

That sounds like a MAF wire harness.
The port switch probably refers to the air port on the air pump(brown wire).

Mult,

The MT "shift" lamp output is also used on AT cars to operate the TCC relay. You might need that sooner or later.

And Dyno is right - the PORT solenoid is the valve that controls the AIR injection to the exhaust manifolds. DIVERT dumps the air to atmosphere.

Well i finished rewiring everything...and I checked each wire...and now I know what each connector does. So it pretty much all works. So vader...you are saying all I gotta do is splice the AT TCC wire (tan/black) to the MT shift light wire (have both the tan/black wires from the ECM green connector go to the same pin in that clear connector that has the passkey wire and stuff on it)and everything will be complete? If so.....easy as pie.
