Edelbrock Problems,PLEASE HELP ME ASAP!!
Has anyone else have fitment issues with the Edelbrock headers for TPI slip-on cat?
Im have my car in the air now and it looks as if the y-pipe is not going to match up. My car currently has the factory ypipe and manifolds on. Does it just look like it wont work because of they arent put on yet or what?

so hard to tell with just looking. One thing I know is that eldelbrock headers for the lt1 cars were terrible and melted plug wires like crazy. Not sure if different on L98s but terrible for the 93 and up. They were a 1 1/2 to 1 5/8 step header and I thought the car got slower after I put them on. I pulled them and went with slp 1 3/4 shorties and picked up a ton over the edelbrocks.

is it factory or been replaced? maybe it was for a single and you have dual or the other way. think the dual cat cars were closer to the engine than single. Just stating the probelms with the lt1 headers that were that brand. Hope the l98 stuff is way better.

If youre right it seems I have the wrong ypipe, i looked up the number on my headers and its correct for single cat slip-on applications. Everything isnt bolt down put up yet though. I just aligned the ypipe where it should go and it doesnt reach. I should rephrase that, I have one header installed as of right now and it fit perfect, only have to move the power steering pump to get it in. The ypipe is giving me issues though.
SO THE EDEL. YPIPE DOES SLIP-ON TO THE CAT with you guyz?

I would say that the y pipe is for a dual cat car for sure. They had a totaly different fitment than the single cat cars. My 92 formula was a dual cat and remember it was way different than the single cat cars I have worked on lately. I took that off my car 8 years ago so kinda foggy.

Which set (part number) of headers did you get? If it's the 68723 then they are for single 3" slip fit cats. The cat should slip over the pipe, not inside it.
