Rough idle and check engine light

1989 GTA TPI 350. Idles rough and check engine light is on when it is cold. Once it warms up you can shut it off and restart it and the light stays out but the idle is still rough. MAF has been replaced by previous owner. I am thinking it is the O2 sensor but the TPS and the IAC are in my mind as well. Who makes a good inexpensive scaner to read the code when the light comes on?

Re: Rough idle and check engine light

jump your ALDL w/ a paperclip. no need for an expensive scanner to read it. this will tell you what the code # is. buy a chilton's manual and find out what the code is.
