Re: high knock counts
I`m not sure if the knock retard is what I should be talking about. If this isnt in the right place would a mod please move it.I`m not hearing any knocking or pinging driving or standing infront of the engine and pushing the throttle by hand.

Re: high knock counts
I still cant figure out how to get this stuff uploaded.Could someone help with that or tell me why I may be having these high knock counts/retard.Wouldnt I hear something at 20 degree knock retard.I hear no knocking/pinging and the car seems to run fine.If it could be false knock what could cause that.I just dont understand all of what I`m looking at or what it means.

Re: high knock counts
Shadygrady been loooking at your logs and when youre knocking it pulling away spark adv. and when it does youre real lean like ~142 in BLM and its pulling away 20 deg of ignition. (and then slowly less down to ~4..).. So you have a real knock retard. thats for real..
Thats prolly caused by lean condition and you have to solve that by giving it some more fuel...
Your BLM goes down to ~160 and thats not good, lean condition will melt your pistons in the long term... So you gotta get that fixed..
and your TPS is too high for a 3gen Camaro, you have it at 0.63V it should be at 0.54V so change that too..

Re: high knock counts
Do you think the lean condition is because of the way the prom is programed,or a mechanical/electrical issue? Thanks.

Re: high knock counts
The prom was supposed to be made custom to all the modifications I curently have.No changes to the engine since.I changed stall, gears and had my trans rebuilt/beefed up but that wouldnt affect anything.I`m running 21#/hr accels right now.I plan to go up to some 23# or 24# ford injectors when I upgrade to high flow edelbrock base and slp runners.I`m running about 42 psi at idle with my fuel pressure.I`m going to try and contact the guy who did my prom and see if I send him those dattalogs in an email if he can make any changes to correct the problem.
I know burn your own chips.Sounds great, but i work 60 to 80 hours/week and have a family. My wife already hates my car.I do hope to get into it eventually but right now it`s not an option.

Re: high knock counts
If you look at your STERM and LTERM in datamaster you see the upper one is going pretty lean on many places.. pretty much all the time...
Thats is in the logfile you sent to me over hotmail : new trans, gears, converter
He made it pretty much lean all the way so that NEED to be fixed..
Remember that stock 350 TPI uses 22lbs injectors, if youve done things to your engine and have put smaller injectors on it, it will be lean.. especially if its programmed in the prom that you have smaller injectors 21 (instead of 22lbs thats stock on a 350cui..)
So talk to him and ask him to give you more fuel, and set your fuelpressure to ~48PSI (without vacuum connected to the AFPR)
sorry for the late answer , but we have been away until today
let me know how it turns out.
