Does anyone else have this problem ?

Does anyone else's oil pressure sending unit leak ?? I've replaced mine at least 5 times in the last few months and even brand new ones leak!! I always get the Wells brand from Autozone. Are the genuine ACDelco ones any better ? The stock one I got leaks too...

Do you read the topics before you post? If you would have looked at the fourth one down (at the time you posted) you would have saw the topic that said "I think my oil sending unit is leaking."

Doh! Of course I saw it. The dude is asking what's leaking and how to fix it. What *I* am asking if anyone else has bad luck with the Wells sending units or is it just me.

maybe your pipe leading out of the block to the oil pressure sending unit is cracked or maybe the connection is cracked. you should look into things a little bit when you buy your 2nd part and it does the same as when you had the original part in it.

Well there's no pipe since it threads into the block. I got a new block now and a brand new sender. The pressure is up to par in the 50-60 psi range but it leaks

Here's another two words... PST LiquidTeflon, by Permatex. I use that to seal the threads whenever I install any fitting or bolt that goes into a liquid filled cavity (oil, coolant, etc). The problem is, the oil is coming out of the end of the sensor where the plug goes in. There's not a whole lot I can do about that except put some silicone on there maybe. I think I'll try that.
