Anybody else have problems with threads on Super Ram?

I bought a used SR and the lower 4 bolt holes are hard to get the bolts in. They go in maybe 2 turns but then they stop. I guess I'll get a tap to make sure the threads are ok, just wondering if anybody had these problems. I haven't had this problem with my stock base and I must have installed the runners on that 15 times.

what i did prior to actually installing the whole setup (base,runners,plenum,t-bod)was to put the whole shebang together on the bench first, having dealt w/aftermarket parts of all types,i knew it is sometimes a hit or miss deal with some stuff out there-quality,fit,ease of install etc-and chased threads, opened up some holes, checked alignment of surfaces and made sure it all worked with me when it came time to put it on the car.i probably invested 2 or 3 hours trial fitting first-but doing that made the actual car bolt on really easy and vacuum leak free-now if i understand your question properly this might help solve the problem- the 4 allens that are started first into the base (the ones the runners hang on to)were chucked up in my little lathe and i reduced the diameter of both the head and shank(?) i removed only the external threads leaving all the strength intact cuz the minor diameter was left un cut .the thickness of the lower runner flange determined how far down the allen i removed thread. between the homeade custom allens and a rat tail file to open up the runner slots where required it went together good and i felt as if nothing was being pulled-distorted-warped, you know what i mean,as it all got torqued into place.hope this helps email me and i could send a pic of an allen if you want. later
