Re: Holley Stealth Ram questions!

if you have TPI already the swap isnt that bad. to sum up, its easy to install, will run you roughly 600-650 bucks depending on how you do your fuel lines and what parts you get to do that. For a 305 its abit overkill but still will make decent power. Zepher has one on his 305 and it runs pretty good. it really needs a cam to wake up tho

here's what i did, it goes thru alot of things. read thru it and also check out the other stealth ram info threads as well as stealthram.com

Re: Holley Stealth Ram questions!

yeah but with the 305 let's assume i already have a cam then would it be the ideal thing to do?

and umm i have a never used t3/t4 turbo charger in my garage....... how would that work out?

Re: Holley Stealth Ram questions!

if you have a decent midsized cam, something above stock L98 spec then yeah the HSR is a smart thing to do. The heads will be the only thing holding you back now.

i have no idea about the turbo tho, i think t3/t4's are small...way to small for a single turbo 305 but i'm not sure

Re: Holley Stealth Ram questions!

I put the Stealthram on my 305 since I had gotten in a cash/parts trade for my old 86 Trans Am. So I put it on so I could sell the TPI parts.

I noticed the torque range moved up into the RPM band a bit.
Takes about 2-3 hours to do do the swap if you have all the parts there.

t3/t4 is used for a small twin turbo setup, it's too small for a single turbo setup.
you can buy this setup and let us know how it works out,

or this one,

Re: Holley Stealth Ram questions!

wow i want one of those kits!!!!! D@MN! how much power would that make on a NA 470hp HSR 383 wit the first kit??... hmm im in love. and at 1100$$ thats amazing. maybe i'll go forged internals and boost my 470hp 383... hmmm, does anyone kno how much a T3 turbo costs brand new by itself? i would do the setup but throw them on my tru duals where the mufflers are and just run the boost tubes up the sides to the engine.

u could put the HSR on a 305 i think its def a bit over kill... but that lil B@stard is gona rev like a motha! its cheaper than upgrading the TPI but its more custom then a direct bolt in. u have to make ur own fuel lines, chip burned, hood clearance issues, no strut bar that fits. its up to u. i would rather just do heads and cam then worry bout the intake, or just upgrade to a 350 then get the HSR.

Re: Holley Stealth Ram questions!

my quarrel with that is that the t3 is smaller than the t3/t4 it's a t3/t4 because it's already a two turbo set up it's a hybrid. so umm how is that too small?
----------
and i know in the picture it looks small but i have no problem fitting something under my hood.

Re: Holley Stealth Ram questions!

on a T3/4 hybrid turbo the hot side is T3 and the cold side is T4 and the problem with using a turbo that small with a single turbo setup is that the hot side will restrict exhaust flow to the point that it may cause engine damage. i know on my rx7 a T3/4 is way too small, so i would say the same is also true for a V8.

Re: Holley Stealth Ram questions!

how much for the turbo? its a t3?

would 2 t3 turbos be ok for a HSR 383??? it says 350hpx2 for the twin turbo T3 setup... so it would support 700hp wit just the turbos?

Re: Holley Stealth Ram questions!

like i said above, its gonna run about 600-650 depending on the fuel line parts you use to connect it

its 550 manifold and rails with adjustable regulator. then another 100 for lines but some maybeable to do it for much less

Re: Holley Stealth Ram questions!

hsr =310$
HSR fuel rails= 225$ for adjustable
felpro 1205 intake gaskets= 16$
fuel lines 50-100$ depening on what u do
custom chip? 100-400$ dependin on ur setup
water neck=20$

bare minumum is 650-675$ if u use stock TB, injectors, tune, and run small lengths of line from stock hard line or within the engine bay.

would the t3/4 twin turbo be better suited for a 383hsr? since sum think the t3 is too small a turbo
