Runner Gasket Problems
I installed a set of SLP runners a few weeks back, they were used but came with a new set of SLP gaskets. No vac leaks..... But Didnt know I was to cut the center out for the siamesed part.
I pulled them out, noticed they dont appear to be any different then stock ones. Got a set of stocks, cut the center. Get a vac leak.
Went and got another set, installed, forgot to cut again
Still have a vac leak.
I have double and trippled checked to make sure my hoses are hooked up. I have sprayed wd40 while its at idle to find the leak and cant seem to find it.
Any suggestions? I have not messed with the fuel rail, so the injector o-rings are not in question.
How are the SLP gaskets different then stock ones? I'm really pissed and fed up as I planned on driving the car this weekend.
How do you cut these gaskets for the slightly larger runners as I am having to use a die-grinder to cut the metal where its siamesed.

Re: Runner Gasket Problems
I use the large tube runner gaskets from TPiS, trimmed to match the SLP runner openings. Gasket sealant can help hold the gaskets in position while the runners are being positioned and the fasteners are being started / installed.

Re: Runner Gasket Problems
Getting them to stay in place is no problem thanks to the little plastic snaps.
Do you have a pic of the two gaskets together? How fast are they on shipping?
