Edelbrock lower intake...where to mount the coil
On the stock intake the coil would have been mounted on the passenger side of the distributor. With the Edelbrock one that someone put on this car, there is no mounting for it so they drilled holes and mounted it to the firewall. Its ugly and i want to mount it neater than that. Any ideas? Does Edelbrock make a adaptor bracket or something?

The stock bracket mounts to the intake manifold using the rear two bolts, and it should fit on the Edelbrock intake too. How come yours doesnt?

Are you saying the rear two bolts of the intake manifold? I thought for sure that there were separate holes on the original manifold specifically for the coil. Anyone got a good pic of how it is supposed to look? I have nothing to go on right now.

Yes, the rear two passenger side bolts of the intake manifold. The stock bracket mounts on those bolts. Sorry I dont have a pic.

Hmmm ok. I wonder why the previous owner didnt put it back where its supposed to go. Oh well. Ill look into moving it. Not a fan of it hanging from the firewall.
