Cheapest way to 300hp?

So I have a stock 350 out of a 72 Blazer rated at about 200 hp, and a stock TPI MAP setup. what do you think would be the cheapest way to about 300 hp. I was thinking zz9 cam and AFR 190cc heads. But that is still about 2 grand. Anybody currently running a combo that gets me there cheaper?

Re: Cheapest way to 300hp?

You want 300RWHP or 300HP at the crank? If you want 300 rear wheel hp, your motor will need to have more hp.

300 crank would probably be good enough for me. I was actually looking at the cam that your signature says your are running. How is it working out for you I would like to convert to roller at some point. how do you like your iron eagle heads also?

uhhh headers, catback exhaust, k&n filter, underdrive pulleys, bigger cam, good ole tune up stuff, bigger intake runners, or ported and siamesed stock ones. steeper rear end gears, aluminum driveshaft, 1.6 ration roller rockers

that should put you over 300 hp

I really like the cam a lot. Unlike the stock cam, you can really feel it pull in the mid-range. The Iron Eagle's are pretty good. They are a nice upgrade from stock. They aren't the best heads out there but definitely an improvement over factory.
