tpi swap help

hello, i am swaping to tpi for my 305, i am putting on a set of #113 heads that are brand new off a zz4 motor with stock springs, if possible i would like to leave those alone and not mess with springs...

I am looking at this cam:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...4&autoview=sku

The car is 86 iroc, 5 speed, 3.27 gears, and going to be TPI, headman torq step headers, magnaflow 3in catback exhaust.

any thoughts?

Re: tpi swap help

The combustion chamber on those 350 heads will be big for your 305 and may actually lower your compression and performance.

If you don't know anything about the aluminum ZZ4 heads then keep your mouth shut. The chambers are the same at 58cc.

Well, that's constructive! If you're going to give advice than be constructive and check the testosterone at the keyboard!

I am sorry to blast jv9999 but guys do a little research and display some FACTUAL KNOWLEDGE before posting. I am just trying to keep the fact from the fiction. Too many people will take the fiction and run with it spreading false information.

Understandable, I guess I read it as a suggestion and not fact. And, I learned something new about 305/350 chevy heads. Also, the nice thing about the forum is collectively we know everything there is to know about thirdgen F-body autos. And, as expected, the information was quickly corrected. Which is what this forum is all about. So, as a newbie to third gens I've just added to my knowledge base, thanks!
