Hum from the rear of the car under braking...fuel pump?
Hey all. I got have a hum coming from my cars rear end when i hit the brakes. It only occurs when there is less than half a tank of gas however. Im assuming this is the fuel pump? Should i look at getting it replaced? I already have the axle dropped to swap rear ends but am not really liking the idea of dropping another 100 or so on a new pump. What do you guys think? Normal or on its way out?

just sitting there you should hear some higher pitched whining/humming which is normal for most fuel pumps. They do sell some that operate quieter... as for the condition only happening under a hard brake i'm not sure about that...

LOL yea i have. The drums are going anyways but its only when there is less than half a tank of gas so i thought that it was the fuel pump. I could be wrong though but the sound persists for a second or two even after im done braking.

I have kind of the same hum from the rear under braking, does yours continue for a couple of seconds after you've come to a stop?
I have a fairly noisy fuel pump, and drums in unknown condition.
