when do i replace this

hey guys cars gonna be coming out of hibernation soon, and am wondering when do you normally have to replace the charcoal canister??, alsoone of the vacuum lines isn't connected to anything at all, its just kinda loose flopping around the red line shows, normal?

Check your hose routting on the underhood sticker for exactly where the hose goes and for the canister unless it is cracked or broken just change the filter if you want . I have owned my 89 Firebird for 6 or 7 years and have only changed the canister filter once due to exessive fuel being in the canister .
