Well, for one, your 60 ft time is extremely high, even for a third-gen. throw a set of drag radials on and cut that down below 2.0 and youshould see a nice improvement on ET. Also, if all you have done is the intake and not gotten rid of the stock exhaust manifolds you're really holding yourself back there.

Re: bad quarter mile times?

well your 60foot time does suck, but a 91mph trap speed is only good for a high 14 or so. The intake mods aren't gaining you anything without a full exhaust, headers and cat back with high flow cat. Some of these cars are factory freaks, but most I've seen are only good for low 15s to high 14s at best in stock form. Get a better exhaust on it and see what happens then. What gears does the car have?

Nope, not even close.

JFWIW - my car was by no means a freak. Pretty much stock save for K&N's and a TB - I went 14.4 @ 97 MPH with a 2.26 60' foot. (dry-rotted street radials)

Something is up, before I would spend another dime on performance parts - I would make certain everything is good. Leak down test, verify base timing, check the FP w/ a good gauge to make sure it has plenty of fuel delivery, read the plugs after a pass, etc, etc.

Where are you located? What track did you race at? I'm curious to see the elevation and the DA for the date & time you ran.

Just my $0.10

Re: bad quarter mile times?

That's bad, like real bad. Did you have about 600 extra pounds of weight in the car? Seriously the slowest 350 car I ever saw run was an 89 Formula, it went 14.7's and when I pulled the tune it was pathetic, it barely had 30 degrees of timing and the curve was lazy as could be. A quick prom swap fixed him up. I think you have something wrong, like a plugged up converter, low fuel pressure, or a knock sensor itself going bad. I've never heard of "a little piston slap" setting off the knock sensor so bad as to slow one down like that.
