Engine Balancing question

I recently purchased a 383 rotating assembly for my engine. It says its internally balanced so I would need a neutral balancer and I'm guessing neutral flexplate. I swapped out my auto for a t56 transmission. Are the LT1 flywheels neutrally balanced and will the stock balancer work or do I need to order a new balancer? How can I tell if the flywheel is external or neutrally balanced? When I installed the transmission when the original crank was in the car, it had a small counterweight on the crank and the lt1 flywheel had a hole that fit right on that counterweight.

Re: Engine Balancing question

Is it a balanced kit? 1 piece or 2 piece RMS?

Re: Engine Balancing question

It is not a balanced kit. I called scat and they said it was neutral in the front and external in the rear. Its a 1 RMS. The thing is summit advertises that it's internal balanced and scat sight says BIE. Can it be balanced both ways?

Re: Engine Balancing question

Anyone else have any info to the post? Again is the stock balancer neutral or do I need a new one? I looked at the back of the flywheel and it has burrows where is looks like it was balanced on the lt1 engine.

I have the 1-41755; 383 forged crank, forged rods, forged aluminum dish pistons, 9.8cr with 64cc heads.

Did you have to use your stock balancer or get a new on that was neutral?
