Re: TPI Dyno Tuning

i'm looking for a dyno tune also. I've called cartek and vette doctors and neither works with our stuff. There must be someone who tunes these cars.

Re: TPI Dyno Tuning

I never found a place that did it when I was in jersey. Im having the same problem in georgia now. So I ordered the crap to do it myself. Hopefully It not too difficult.

Re: TPI Dyno Tuning

there has to be someone who tunes these cars. There are plenty of guys with mods here and i'm sure someone has gotten their car tuned somewhere. I've called cartek and vette doctors and they both said they don't mess with our stuff. They said it's too much hassle. I don't get it. If i would have known this i would have gone with a carb setup.

Re: TPI Dyno Tuning

Just get the stuff to tune yourself. YOU do the tuning while the car is at the dyno. That's how I had to do it. No one around me plays with these cars anymore either.

Re: TPI Dyno Tuning

I dont think tuning was ever common back when the cars were newish. The maf cars were tollerant to most mild changes and people belived a fuel pressure regulator could make it work.

Re: TPI Dyno Tuning

thanks, but i don't want to do it myself. I have no idea about tinkering with that stuff and would prefer professional help. Too much involved for me. I just want the car to run right. It hesitates and surges and the throttle response is way off.

Re: TPI Dyno Tuning

whats your engine combo and is it MAF or SD? MAF cars are pretty easy to tune, while SD is a touch harder but still doable. MAF can tolerate mods better than SD so you can get the tune pretty rough and still run on MAF, while SD may not run.

Moates.net has all the stuff you need. If you were out this way, (pittsburgh area) i could help tune your car
