so my iroc just started making a noise from the motor.. i dont think its rod knocking.. i have plenty of oil pressure.. when you first start the motor up it dosent make any noise at all sounds great. but let her idle for about 15 seconds and the noise magically appears... it does go with the rpm,s but if your reving it sometimes the click or knock will stop briefly and then comeback.. any ideas.. im lost

 

Sounds like a problem with your lifters. Best way to confirm this is to pull the valve covers and run the motor at night with a strobe light or a timing light running. Like that it will be very easy to see odd behavior of the rocker arms weather it be one isnt opening as far as it should or the rocker is behaving oddly in general. If this is the case it will be time to take a deeper look into things.
