Alright,

I recently bought a brand new (to me) Cold start injector and a cold start switch off of ebay to try and fix my horrible cold start issues..

My car in the mornings will fire up immediately but as soon as it does it starts running like crap, chugging, and just flat out not running good at all till you feather the throttle a little bit...

Now, even with the new parts on there, it STILL acts the same way...

Can someone please offer me some advice on what to do or check so I can have smoother cold start ups?

 

Any Codes? also check the coolant temp sensor next to the cold start injector switch, make sure its plugged in securely and also check the connector for corrosion.

 

No codes to speak of, i just put a new coolant temp sensor in this summer and it seemed to be in good shape...

I even replaced the 3 amp CRANK fuse under the dash..

 

check your IAC valve, I had hard starts and found out my IAC pindle was stuck fully extended.

 

My IAC valve is brand spankin new, i'm at a complete loss as to why my car hates cold starts..

 

Have you checked for power to cold start injector/cold start switch? It seems that your right about the cold start system as being at fault and i think changing the valve/switch are good places to start but you should check for power when cranking to ensure there's no broken wires.

 

I haven't done this yet, i need to pick up a cheapo voltmeter from Autozone. I have noticed that when i tug on the wires the little prongs move back and forth depending on if I'm pushing or pulling on them, but that still don't mean there's not a break somewhere further up the line though.

 

Tugging on the prongs in the connector?

 

As in I know the wires are still attatched inside the connector, if they didn't move when I tugged on the wires I would know that they're no longer attatched.

 

yea it could be broken a lot of place or even though its connected it could have a bad contact.
