What injectors to use?
Hey all, I tested my injectors, with a meter, over the weekend and I have 2 bad injectors. I was thinking of going with Racetronix injectors. Do you guys have any other suggestions? The car is a 91 Z28/305 5 speed.
Thanks Jay.

Get some 19 LBS Bosch III from Jon at fuelinjectorconnection.com. I bought a set for under $150.

$150 is alot better than $280 from Racetronix. Did you have any problems with the install of the Bosch?

None at all. Remeber to place everything back in place before you check for leaks. After you test for leaks, and you need to remove the rail agian, de-pressurize the system. I sprayed myself on accident.

Re: What injectors to use?
He told me also to get the gasket kit with the injectors, so the total with shipping came to $208. It is still a lot better than $280 and no gaskets + shipping. Plus the 2 of you telling me what great injectors they are. I will keep you posted, thanks for all the help, Jay
Re: What injectors to use?
Look, There's only a handful of manufacturers of injectors. Bosch, Seimans, Lucas, Denso, and Delphi, maybe one I missed I don't remember too good anymore.
EVERYONE puts their names on it. When they do, they just jack the price. There is no such thing as an Accel injector, a Holley injector, an RC injector, a Racetronix injector. They are all someone else's with a different label.
I purchased my first set of 36 LB injectors a couple years ago, received 40 lb injectors and when I bitched I was told that I should just get someone who knew what they were doing to work on my car. There is ZERO customer support from those guys and he wouldn't even deal with me when the injectors he sent were MARKED 40 lbs, not the 36 I ordered.
Funny part is I was so pissed that I got into the injector business myself, but I won't toot my own horn here.
FIC is a great company and buying from them you can never go wrong. He treats people right down there, he helped me with my RaceTronics problem
