So I installed my LPE throttle body today(thanx sean!). After installation, I proceeded to step by step adjust iac and tps and set idle(about 800 rpm, 5spd car). Road tested and car runs awsome! Well I wanted to run down the street for smokes, but when I went to start the car it wouldn't idle after sitting all afternoon. Let it warm up a little by keeping the idle up with pedal. Got to store, shut off and re-started and seemed fine. Came out of store and tried to start, won't idle again. Came home and plugged in scanner. Tps is .53, but iac is over 120 and fluctuating? Shouldn't it be zero on a warm engine? Car had an intermittent idle problem since I bought it, but not like this! No codes. Other problem, somebody at some time plgged the hole where the vacuum line for egr is supposed to be. Is there someplace else I can connect to? Any help greatly appreciated! Btw, car is a 91 z.

Yea, did that the day I bought the car. Even disconnected all lines from intake before spraying carb cleaner everywhere. What could cause an intermittent vacuum leak? I'm wondering if ecm is bad? Last 2 tpi cars I've had acted same way and that was problem on both.

If you got the TPI system or plenum with the tube runners, then this applies to you. Follow this link for the vacuum diagram. There is a ton of good info here when I was on a quest for hooking up my vac lines. Enjoy

Already been there. Problem is, the passage for egr feed has been blocked on the throttle body. Was wondering if there is somewhere else I can feed it from? If I have to, I could probably remove plugs from tb and hook up tube as designed.

On the oem tb, there is a port sticking out the bottom on the drivers' side which feeds the egr solenoid. The lpe tb I got from you has a screw in the hole where a tube should be sticking out. Not to worried about it, but I would like to try to have everything hooked up the way its supposed to.

You can jerry rig it. Take out screw, then JB Weld a small metal tube of some sort. Ghetto style but may be effective if your tight on a tight budget.

Like I said, not too worried about it. I currently just have the feed line plugged. Who needs the egr anyway, rite?! I'll probably do something with it when I install my suprram in a week or 2. As I said, car is currently running great. Was playin around the other day and chirped 3rd gear!
