Engine: 350TPI
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.73 posi
centerbolt valve cover question?
just a few gray areas
1) i had a problem with the rubber felpro gaskets staying in the valve cover theres no possible way i could expect to get the cover back on with that gasket staying put. now the gasket box says DO NOT use any rtv sealant.. anybody experience these problems??
2) i bought ultra seal gaskets from jegs. how should i go about keeping these put inside the cover.. all the equipment im working with is brand new besides the heads..

Get it in the best that you can.
Install the vc loosely.
As you start to tighten the vc down, work around the gasket surface pulling/pushing the gasket in place.
You may bleed a bit but you'll get it.

i had the same problem when i put my aluminum valve covers on . cleaned covers surfaces , put several small dabs of RTV on covers , installed gaskets , held in place with many clothespins , took lunch break . put covers on ( minus clothespins ) , no leaks , worked for me . good luck .
