what would it take to convert 88 MAF to 90 Speed Density?
OK with all these problems with my car i have been doing alot of thinking. First of all it has 3 Cylinder Missfires in Cylinder 6,7,and 8. It is NOT a spark problem i have spark at every cylinder. I know the circuits on the C100 were different so they are pinned out I was wondering about the C207 if that could be a problem?
Im having a friend of mine come take a look at it when he has a chance. I thought about it and said if i got a 90 TPI speed density system then the circuits and connectors would be in the same place as on my 90 TBI car right?. So if i hit a dead end with my car this would be the only option. whar do I need besides Harness, ECM, MAP sensor, Knock Sensor , TPS, and IAC

thank you for this information but if i did do this i would get a complete harness and ECM and install that being a 90 TBI car the harness will install and all the circuits will be in the right place what i need to know is what are the bare minimums i need to convert it, do i even need a new 90-92 tps and iac and knock sensor. right now its a 90 camaro with an 88 tpi system its no running right and im tired of spending the money to get nowhere at least if i get the MAP TPI system its plug and play

If it doesnt run right on MAF what makes you think its going to run right on speed density.
I'm confused here. You have a 88 MAF TPI system in a car and want to go to 90 speed density? Where did the TBI come from? Or was this a 90 TBI car that went to 88 MAF and now you want to go 90 SD?
To do MAF to SD, you just need the 730 ecm and repin the stock MAF harness to the 730 ecm. You will need a 3rd connector for this since SD has 3 ecm plugs while 165 MAF systems have only 2 plugs that go into the ECM. Just need to relocate some pins and its plug and play.
Add MAP sensor to the right pin location and get rid of the MAF sensor. I dont think you will need new TPS, shouldnt need new IAC, but will need new knock sensor for that year.
Are there any engine mods? If so it may need chip tuned.

Re: what would it take to convert 88 MAF to 90 Speed Density?
Its an original 90 TBI car that i converted to 88 MAF, It doesnt run right due to 3 cylinders missfiring its not fuel and its not spark it must be a wiring problem since there are circuits and plugs in different location at least a 90-92 speed density system is plug and play with the car i want to buy a harness and ecm that is speed density. Also the 90-92 TPS is non adjustable compared to the 85-89 TPS which is adjustable so how could i get away with my old one,

If it was a computer related or wiring problem then you would have no spark on any plugs; not just three .
The computer wiring only goes to the dist which is firing 5 plugs OK so why aren't the other 3 working ????
You have problems elsewhere not related to the computer
Back to basics.
Check plug wires / plugs /etc.
Are you sure those 3 cyl are actually getting fuel? Are plugs wet?

I had 3 bad plugs out of 8 new ones I bought recently.
Drove me crazy trying to find spark problem because I knew plugs were brand new.
Finally threw in a couple of old oiled up plugs from the bin and engine ran fine

Do you have fuel on the plugs in dead cylinders ??????
