Cam and gears?

I need help trying to find the specs of my cam and gears. For some reason my cam doesn't match up with the info i find on line. For example if I have 3.42 gears my rpo is G92 but my rpo says GU6= axle,rear,3.42 . i don't know what cam it has? According to this chart I fit under two cams but which one do i have.? I have a five speed borgwarner tpi .Can someone please share some light on this..

Re: Cam and gears?

the g92 means you got the performance axle ratio and the gu6 means its the 3.42's.. if you got the g92 option in 1990 you got the better cam and the 230hp lb9..

So if my tach red lines at 5500 rpm, then do i have a g92 option?

Re: Cam and gears?

check your rpo codes in your center counsel ...redline at 5500 is also a way to tell if you got the better cam...
