Fuel Leak

Hello,

I just bought a 1986 Iroc with a TPI engine. After driving for about 30 minutes today I got out of the car and immediately smelled a heavy odor of gas. When I walked towards the front of the vehicle I noticed there was fuel dripping from the front of the left front fender (drivers side). I opened the hood and and noticed the bottom of the evap canister was saturated in fuel. This is the location it was dripping from. What could be causing this?

Re: Fuel Leak

this is a bit of a guess but i think its essentially working too well, its sucking liquid gas from the tank rather than vapor, maybe it has the wrong fuel pump assembly? pull the vacuum hose going to your motor (from the evap canister) and make sure it stops dripping
