Proper Timing for 92 camaro 305TPI

I just need to know the proper timing for a stock 92 camaro 305TPI..the sticker under hood has been removed...thanks

IIRC it is 8° or 10° thinking it was 8° and I bumped it up to 10°

I think I had it set to 0 first ran like **** but then move it to 4 ran alil better so I'll try 8 and 10...doesnt it go like this,i might be wrong..this my first time doin anything todo wit timing usly just sent off to a shop but cost me 900 the last time.the guy ripped me off big time so I gotta learn all this now..thanks for ur help

There's a single tan wire connector you must disconnect before you set the timing. Its located by or near the blower motor on the passenger side of the engine. Since you don't live in California you could set at 8*. Cali cars are at 6*.

I have it at 6 deg it runs alot better but after givin alil gas it seems to shake alil or knock what ever you call it....should bump it up to 8 deg to loose the knock in the engine or is this another prob I have now

I tried 6 to 8 and over 8 degs....cant make the knockin or shakin go away...its prob alil under 8 deg right now..it seems like it might be good wit power,has it's power and go back like before intake gasket change 2weeks ago now need to find out why the engine skakes or knocks when driving...any thing I should check on it...

Did you unplugged the est wire first before setting the timing?

yes unpluged wit car off then sit timing then turned car off hooked back the est back up and test drived the car
