Im converting my 350 TPI to carb, and im putting an edelbrock performaer on and and a edelbrock 600 or 650 on it and was wonder what would be a good cam? The motor has been rebuild about 20000 miles ago and i want a good cam somthing that will give it more power. And im putting a set of redone 400 SBC heads on it. Im not sure what kinda cam to go with i no it has roller lifters.

 

I've got the same car/engine. Mine is still tpi. I'm using a comp cams xtreme energy cam. Lift - .479/.480 Duration - 268/280. Don't know if this will work on a carb setup. I'm also running trick flow heads and ported the stock intake and put a 58mm throttle body on it. 26lb injectors and msd ignition system. You didn't really ask for all that but I figured more info is better.

How is that cam compared to the stock one? Can u tell the difference

 

Stock for the 350 in 1987 had a 202 duration and 404 lift.

 

Anyone know the specs. On the facotry TPI cam? And if they had mechanical or hydroalic cams
