No. Not possible. They are two completely different motors.

Re: ls6 heads on an l98
It is correct that it can't be done it it's interesting to note that someone makes a LS style block that will accecpt SBC internals. Pisons, rods, crank ect. Supposedly it makes building an LS cheaper. It doesn't really make since to me though because if you have to buy another block you won't save anything with the cheaper internals...

It's actually a neat idea. Think about it, the main reason everyone loves LS style motors is bc of the power you get out of them mostly from the new design of the heads. Say you wanna swap an ls in your third gen, but you dont wanna deal with oil pan, motor mount, or front accessory fitment issues. Buy this block, add your old school sbc rotating assembly, cam, front accessories, trans, and throw a set of ls heads and intake on. Horsepower TV did a build on one of these, with all off the shelf parts and a carb'd intake manifold theymade around 500 hp. pretty cool if you ask me. now heres the downside, the block costs 4-5k i believe

actually i think the heads used on the show were LS "style heads" made to work on a SBC. i have no idea where to get them or how much they cost but i think the ones used on the show were prototypes

Yes the block is very expensive, but I also have a feeling its not being marketed towards your average person who wants LS power but doesnt want to deal with the extra things involved with the swap. Its not a solution for cheap SBC power. Its probably geared towards people who are building race motors and are going to be using an aftermarket block anyways.
My anyways.

Re: ls6 heads on an l98
My only question is why go through all the trouble of designing/manufacturing something really cool/new like that and then use the leaky old 2 pc. RMS? I've noticed a lot of aftermarket blocks are like that.

To the OP, why did you delete your post? Yeah it may not have been possible, but someone else with this same question may search for this someday and your question is gone.
