1990 T/A 350 TPI Issues

The 350 has a stock TPI, I believe a ZZ9 Cam from TPIS, and ported heads. The car has been sitting for a while, as my father in law just built the motor and did not get around to get it running right. I don't know how old the gas in the tank is but I plan on putting in fresh gas once I can break off the locking gas cap.

Now when I try to start it I have to press the gas pedal to get it to start when its cold. Then I have to keep my foot on the gas pedal until it warms up or it will stall out. I tried adjusting the TPS but the lowest volt I could get from it was .61, when testing it at WOT everything was great, did not jump around and was above 4.00 volts. I attempted to adjust/reset the IAC earlier. Followed the instructions in the tech section, but when I unplug the IAC and then start the car it will not idle by itself without dying.

When the car is warm though and when trying to start I just tap the gas pedal a little and it starts right up and idles. The tach needle does jump around a little bit maybe around 25-50 RPMS.

I thought speed density TPS was not adjustable? Ohm your injectors and make sure they are good.

Gas cap should come off with a screwdriver and small hammer if you're careful. I had mine lock up also. I pry'd/tapped mine apart on the ring on the edge of the cap. After it popped it came right off and I put a regular non-locking cap on.

I got the gas cap off just a little while ago, so now I can put in some fresh gas. I still need to discover why it won't idle when cold.

Bump for stalling on cold starts, fires up on warm starts. Idle still bouncing around. Also how do I ohm the injectors, which setting on my multimeter?
