90 iroc Rich/Ha/rd Start
I have a 90 iroc 350tpi and was just wanting to get some advise on where to check for some issues im having.
1. After sitting overnight (cold) startup in morning is one or two cranks then starts right up. But after i drive around or just let warm up when i go to restart it might crank 15 to 20 times before firing.
2. Seems to be running reallly rich full take of 89octane(mid grade) got me 97 miles.
3. checked codes and all i got was EGR valve(32 i think)
4. I bought this car in nov and it had been sitting for 7 years out in the open. So the paint is trash but interor is real good. When i got it home i changed oil / fuel filter and bolted on a new flowmaster as the old muffler was rusted and leaking. The brake pads were rusted close so i replace front and back padsw and rotors. Shock/Struts new and upper/lower control arm bushings/stabl bush and alignment the last were done by local shop.
what else should i check on this to make a good fun DD out of with 90k miles she should have alot of good years left in her.

Check the throttle position sensor voltage, ohm the injectors to see if maybe you have a bad one or 8. Clean out the throttle body and IAC valve with some carb or brake cleaner, porbably has some gunk in there. And I would try a full tune up. plugs wires air filters. all of these can posibly be going or already bad.
A defective o2 sensor can also cause the car to run rich. And check to make sure all the vac. lines are hooked up and in the right places and not broken. and use the carb cleaner to check for vac. leaks around the intake, runners, and plenium.

I went to autozone and bought a new IAC only 44$ so i figured why not. changed it in parking lot didnt make a difference so i drove home. Today i picked up a can of carb cleaner took off air cleaner assembly and sprayed the carb cleaner on the butterflies of the throttle body and now she will not run at all.....Help me on this what did i screw up....was running fine before well not fine but at least i could drive to work and home everyday. Now when she starts she will die as soon as i let off the gas.....Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as i was REALLY wanting to drive this car to work in the morning(got a 9am appt to get tires).....thanks

Need to clean the iac housing, but if you sprayed carb cleaner with out pulling the iac valve chances are is damaged, so take the t body and clean it really good with throtle body cleaner make sure the iac valve is 1 1/8 before install

the iac is new was just replaced should i take back to autozone and get replacement? ooo btw when i was buying the IAC the didnt show one in stock for a 1990 iroc 350 but did have a 86vette that was same price and guy at counter told me it is the same part and this would work fine. just wondering cause the 86 is maf and 90 is speed density?????
