How much hp & torque will I gain AT THE MOTOR with shortie headers, a Y pipe, high flow cat, and a cat back on a 350 TPI? I was told by a fellow owner of an 89 firebird that he was making 300hp with this setup. Im just wondering is all.

 

Well right now,your motor stock should be pushing somewhere around 230 HP. Adding headers adds about 50-60 HP give or take. I just finished a 350 swap and with headers i had about a 65 HP Increase.

well thats what i got, But then i got to thinking. Most people only get about 25-30. I think my result was including my Open element breather and my bigger fuel injectors

 

Yeah im sorry that was after all my new mods. So youll only push about 345 HP outta your car with the right headers

Thanks for the info regarding the headers. But what would be the quickest and or cheapest way to reach my 300hp goal?

 

on a stock 350 a full exhaust wont get u anymore than 20-25 hp cause with the small heads on a stock 350 can only flow but so much anyway but it will defently sound awsome

 

but to get to 300 with the 350 full exhaust, air filters, and a good computer tune aught to get u close to 300hp
