Cam question....
I was reading up on cams and was looking through Hawk's site since I was putting together a list of things to get for my GTA. I have a 305 and while most would say to throw it out in favor of a 350 or 383, I simply don't have the money to also include the T56 manual so....I gave myself a challenge to see how fast I can make a 305....I mean Ford guys technically have 305s too in their fox body 'stangs, and those get done up all the time lol. I'm not looking for insane power either. Something more than 300 but less than 500 is fine lol.
I ran into the TPIS ZZ409 cam. Seems like the perfect application for my streetable daily drive/road track application.
I tried looking up info on it regarding its application on the 305 but there isn't much info
Thing is, spending so much time in the world of imports and forced induction, I'm not too familiar with all motor tuning....for a cam like this what would I have to do to the engine to prep it for the cam? Or is it pretty much bolt on? Are there any other cams you guys can recommend for me? Bolt on or additional engine prep prior to installation models are fine as long as I can still run on pump gas!
