hi guys i've been having problems with my 305 tpi . Recently my engine has been acting up for instance (i'm sure i spelled that wrong) when i turn my engine on my car starts puffing white smoke from the exhaust and it reeks of gasoline and i found that some semi dry gasoline at the end of my driver side manifold where the exhaust pipe connects to the manifold. I dont know where exactly its leaking gas. Prior to this added lucas injector cleaner about 2 weeks ago and it worked fine and i've done a recent tune up to the car about 1 month ago and changed the manifold gaskets, head gaskets, and injector O-rings. Also ive changed the charcoal canister and it still reeks like gasoline so i'm dumbfounded by this new problem my car is giving me so any answers would be appreciated thank you for your time.

white smoke, hows your coolant level? going down?, and check the color of your oil, if you changed o rings on injectors check for injector leaks, mine were leaking after i put new orings because i wasnt careful putting them back in.

Why are all these engines getting flooded with fuel lately?

If it did flood, then you spark plugs could've gotten wet, so you may need to either change them or pull them out and cook the tips with a propane torch to get the fuel out of the insulator.

Re: i need help with my 305 tpi
Hey my 91 z28 with a 305 idles high and has no ***** off the line, what the hell could be causing this car to be such a dog? I've done a complete tune up, ported plenum, K&N air filter, 1.6 RR's, High flow cat and flowmaster exhaust. timing set at 6*, tried bumping but didn't do nothing, trans was rebuilt 2k miles ago, I'm changing the rear from the crap 2:73 to 3:42 or 3:73 as I type this.

I've owned a few of these cars and so far this one just sucks no matter what I do to it, I thought speed density was a good setup?
