Yeah lots of them will say they are made for your car,but they assume that you are changing springs too or you already are taking this into account. Crane powermax 2032 cam or any of the "compucams"

Cam is just part of the equation, its not a one size fits all.

Fill out a cam request card from one of the makers.

For a cam recommendation you need to know,

compression, heads, intake, exhuast, gear ratio, intended use etc....

Re: lunati cam

That cam would be good for a modified tpi. Too much for a stock tpi as stated.

•Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 215/224
•Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .489/.489
•LSA/ICL: 112/108
•Valve Lash (Int/Exh): Hyd/Hyd
•RPM Range: 1500-5750

342 is about the max,but you wouldn't really see any difference between your stock 323 and a 342 anyway.

Matching valvesprings.

For that cam to work well, you would need, headers, cat back, ported tpi base and upper, aftermarket runners, and good heads.

If you go to lunatis website, or Comp cams, you can fill out a cam suggestion form. They will tell you what cam to run and what parts are needed to match it.

Read some of the many many build threads on this site.

You know what they say, " there is more then one way to skin a cat"

To get a "little more power then stock" I would have some mild porting done to the 083 heads and tpi plenums.

Headers and catback

Contact one of the cam makers for a mild street cam sugggestion. Don't over cam, thats the number one problem when it comes to cam buying.

3.23 is a good gear for your application.

Well lets see, first I ported the stock heads, milled them, added a Holley Stealth Ram, HEadman shorties, catback,

Then Swapped in a very wicked 427 bbc.

Then, sold that, and am going back on the street.

Building another 350, heads will be either engine quest hybrids, or maybe vortecs. Ported base, SLP runners and ported uppers.

Probably going with a voodoo 60121 cam.

Headmen shorties again.

Shooting for close to 10:1 compression.

Once its back together, I'll get a tune.

Or wasting a lot of money!

The 427 was wicked. I was trying to go outlaw racing, but couldn't afford it.

Got sidetracked for awhile.

Should have kept the stealth ram and stuff, now I am starting all over again, with an empty engine bay.

I painted the car 8 years ago, but am going to repaint it this spring.

Putting an offer in on a house, if it goes through I'll be moving in Feburary. Once I get settled in the new place, I am going to tear into the Iroc full on. Will start a rebuild thread then.

Best advice, decide what you want to do with the car as far as usage and performance and stick to it. If you are not planning on racing competively, don't worry about Max HP.

Look around at what others have done.

Happy holidays to you to!

Re: lunati cam

did 3.73 in my stock tpi. get to 4th gear at 25 mph when cruising around town. but lay on the gas and holy hell it moves!! the rear of the car just basically walks around the car when i make turns. top speed is probably like 110 now too.

I am running Lunati 60104 on my longtube TPI 350 060" over. works great for me, great response, good torque. Not completely tuned yet so have no dyno numbers. But seems to pull good to round 5500.
