RPM while braking

92 3.1v6 tpi auto. Changed my dist cap and rotor at weekend as well as ignition module. Now seems to drop rpms while braking lower than before (around 500rpm) but feels rough when I come I a stop, I have to put it into neutral or park to get rpm to level out again at 800rpm. Car was throwing a MAP code 6 weeks ago but sorted itself out after I did a battery unplug. Brakes have a whoosh sound and are spongy/sh*t.

Got a feeling I may have disturbed a vacuum line when messing with dizzy?

Re: RPM while braking

If you disconnected the battery, you may have to an "idle relearn". Check out the link, #7. Good Luck.

Your 3.1 is MPI, not TPI. Sounds like you are on the right track. Could be the vacuum booster line since the change started after you were in there.
