Inexpensive TPI mod

I have a s/d tpi and have wondered how to hide or dress out the map sensor on the side of the plenum. I cut a piece of aluminum in the shape of the sensor and drilled screw holes. I wrapped the plate in some carbon fiber decal I had left over and put it back together. thought it looked better. I think chrome or any other color would make it stand out to much.
im probably going to do a little more with the carbon fiber else where to even it out.

just an idea. anyone else have an idea?

I'm not sure why this one doesnt say 1 bar and his other auction does.

Yours looks better than nothing.

Re: Inexpensive TPI mod

thanks for the comment. seeing this one does give me ideas, like making it fill in the area more, or maybe making it a Chevrolet logo.

I just got one of the map covers looks pretty decent. Now I need to buy some button head stainless screws to finish it off.

Re: Inexpensive TPI mod

I have an idea. I have a 3d printer and use it to make small scale parts for my start up. For that size and shape my printer could easily fabricate some preety sweet shapoes, sizes and fully functional to be bolted up to the intake. Heat should not be an issue either. The ABS can handle up to 120C up to 160C.

It is easily paintable and can add features no problem (like ridges for effect)

Re: Inexpensive TPI mod

I will do it for free just give me pictures of top and side and front and dimensions of the area to fit and bolt too and I can do a 3d model first.

Re: Inexpensive TPI mod

looking at it now it would be cool if it:

1: Mimicked the the top of the TPI with ribbing and then blended with the taper from front to back of the top of the TPI

2: Or if some how mimicked the runners and looked like another bolted in flange with down tube like a 3rd runner or something
