Cam ?
Would it be worth it go from the stock 207/213 cam with 413/430 lift to a 206/212 cam with 480/488 lift if I'm going in the engine anyway? I got the cam for free.
I'm planning on going to a hsr and ls1 computer.... Baby steps to a bigger build down the road.
Any input would appreciated.

Re: Cam ?
It will pick up alittle. If stock heads will handle it. With new springs measure retainer to guide/seal clearance. Make sure you have atleast .040" clearance. Seems like alot of work for alittle gain. Can see some gain with just 1.6 rockers instead. Wont be as much but still some

not sure it's worth the trouble..... is the engine on a stand, where you can easily change the cam??

Re: Cam ?
Went from the stock 207/213, .415/.430 to the 206/210, .450/.480 during a rebuild 2 years ago. It was nice, but subsequently changed to 210/220, .480/.480 recently. I would agree that changing the cam in the car is a major job for the minimal gain that will be realized.

Re: Cam ?
Waste of rime if you ask me.
Even though thr cam was free, you're looking at $100 worth of gaskets, and possible clearence issues.
