Well, I emailed him and asked what had been done to the motor.
I'll give him a half point for honesty in email, but not a full point for posting it has over 500 HP...

I would say at least he's not trying to pass it off as an lt1, as I see way to often with TPI cars. But really though this kind of stuff disgusts me, people just spouting off imaginary horsepower claims. Sure enough though someone will come along and take his word for gold and there will soon be a new corvette owner gloating all over town that his car has OVER 500hp.
This actually reminds me of a story. Back when i was a teenager I worked at Autozone part-time. One day a lady comes in driving an 02 camaro convertible and it had SS badges on the fenders. So she buys a headlight bulb and asks if would put it in for her. Business was dead slow so i happily obliged, all the while she is bragging about how much she loves her SS and how fast it is and how she got SUCH a good deal on it...blah blah blah. So i pop the hood and the very first thing i noticed was a 3800 series engine sitting under the hood
Poor lady, I didnt have the heart to tell her that her precious SS wasnt really an SS

I don't necessarily blame the seller. Around here everybody that has some cousin or friend build their motor gets told that it's some ridiculous power. A buddy had his "engine builder" cousin build a 350 for his Monte. 882 heads, mild cam. My buddy was told that it'sa 400 horsepower motor, and he doesn't know any better.
