The 9.05 1/8 mile et equals about a 14.20 1/4 and an 8.5 equals about an 13.34 in the 1/4. A torque converter and sticky tires along with basic mods (free mods, exhaust, pullies) should get you there.

Get some slicks or drag radials.

Get that 60ft tine down.

Re: Quest to run a 8.5 with my tpi

without changing the stall there's not to many options out there. if you've got the l98 cam you would be better of putting a set of 1.6 rockers on than tearing into the engine.

Unless you had it tuned local, send that back.

Do a performance trans rebuild with good converter and use drag radials or slicks.

Wrong question.

You should ask, "Whats the best cam for my set up and goals?"

Fill out a cam request form on your choice of brands website.

Need a lot of details to pick a good cam.
