86 iroc idle is high.

86 iroc idle is high.
Hi guys,
When I first go out and start my car it will stay idiling at just over 1500 rpms, I know that's to high, it should be around 800 rpms....it is the 305 tpi.
What is the issue?idle set to high?

that is a little excessive you should be around 1,100 rpm on cold startup. Start with setting your minimum idle speed and resetting the tps followed bye looking for vacuum leaks.
