Better gas mileage?

Any tips to get better gas mileage in my '87 IROC-Z with a 305 TPI? I'm getting about 15.3 mpg right now with a mix of hwy and in-town driving. It would be perfect if I could get about 20.

Dyno Don headers, gutted air boxes, clean filters, tune-up(if needed), adjust your valves(if needed).

Replace o2 sensor if faulty, tune up, and try premium gas. That actually did the most for me. Im getting an extra 50 mi to the tank since i started using it 2 months ago. But with the higher price, it probably comes out about the same as paying for regular

i got 28 with 305 tpi 5 speed (now a 6) and 2:73 rear axle gears now i get 18 with the 6 speed DX

always check your tire pressure as well. that'll really help if they are low. also how you drive obviously.
