350 tpi running extremely rich.
I have a .40 over 350 with lt4 hot cam1.6 rockers, stealth ram, 52mm tb, EQ 190 vortec heads. Timing is set and the injectors are the factory 350 tpi injectors. I have the egr and vss deleted from the ecm. The esc is also jumped because it was converted from maf to speed density. The car runs extremely rich. Rich enough that it smoked like a Deisel when it was on the dyno yesterday. The check engine light also comes on if I cruise at a consistent speed over 40 for more than a few minutes, I'm assuming that's map related. The car only made 240/270 on a dyno jet yesterday, and I'm assuming that's because of how rich it is. Is a tune all I need to lean the car out? Or is there something else causing it to run rich?

Before you start with the tune, datalog and look at your, cts, tps and map. Also check for obvious things suck as retarded timing and leaking fpr and injectors bleeding off the fuel pressure fast koeo.

I hooked the car up to the datalogger today, the computer wouldn't communicate...
