fuel pressure drops randomly when off

I have a 355 vortec stealthram with bosch 3 24lb injectors. I have a new kirban fpr set for 45lbs with no vaccum and am having a problem with keeping fuel pressure in the line. ive done some searching and havint come across any post where the fuel pressure will hold sometimes and other times will drop to zero and wont hold at all. im sure im just searching some random crap that no one else would word the way i do and im not sure where to attack this monster at i want to lean more to a fuel pump due to the fact the car has 170k on the body and im not sure when the fuel pump was last replaced. some input would be much appriciated before i haul off and buy a fp

How fast does it drop?

Have you done the fuel supply tests to determine if the supply ( check valve ) or return ( reg ) side is bleeding off ?

FWIW
, my Aeromotive AFPR don't hold any pressure once the pmp is off

Re: fuel pressure drops randomly when off

I recently replaced the fpr with a kirban adjustable. It depends though sometimes after shut off the fuel pressure will hold for a while and other times it will bleed off instantly. It runs fine and other times the fuel pressure gauge will flicker rapidly back and forth an it runs like crap. Iv pinched off the return line and the pressure would still drop and when I pinched off the supply line the pressure would rise. I don't know what the fuel supply test is though.
