Changing my mind....

changing my mind from the crane 2032 due to the price (could have sworn it was like $380 like 2 weeks ago, not like $500+)

I already had a prom written for my unbuilt motor, i told them i was going to be putting the crane 2032 in, anyone have any suggestions for something nearly identical minus the pricing? thanks

On your tune unless it is one the tuner has done live or off datalogs with the same build it will need some minor tweaking.

How will the comp cam work with the computer though? i youtube'd some vids of the comp cam in the TPI and it sounds like it wouldnt work at all it with a computer.

The comp cam is cumpter compatable but you can allways improve on the tune.
tpi maf is more forgiving with camshaft change but it depends on what injectors you install. Say you put 30#hr injectors with a stock 350 or 305 calibration you will have decent power but idle it will run super rich. You don't give any detailed engine information.

Right now i'm working on a 350, it was a 2 bolt 350 block (I forget the casting numbers off hand), and am putting on Summit Racing aluminum heads (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-162108/overview/_). Come spring time, I hope to afford some SLP runners.
I'll be transferring my hooker headers from my 305 to the 350 also. I am not sure what to do for the injectors, I may just go with stock size, but I know the ones in the 305 are mostly original at 178k miles. the motor will keep the MAF setup and I have a custom chip burned in order to shift the timing ahead and hopefully pull a few more h.p.
The car already has 3.73:1 gears installed also. I'll also try to port/polish the intake manifold as well. I am hoping to try and get atleast 350 hp out of the car. I am unsure if those listed summit heads will need any additional work, I have seen posts of people needing new sized pushrods and different springs too.

Re: Changing my mind....

The heads as they are listed, * 1.25 in. diameter valve springs (0.480 in. maximum lift)
