Removing EGR walls in TPI

After reading the post "Create Better Air Flow for TPI Plenum" in the FAQs, I'm seriously considering having the shrouds in front of the EGR holes machined down. What are the pros and cons of doing something like this?

No cons , the pros better flow. if you look how much the hump blocks entering air flow for the first 3/8 inch of throttle movement.

Re: Removing EGR walls in TPI

Why would they put the humps there in the first place? Any estimate as to how much it might cost to have these machined down?

Get out a carbide bit and grind them down. They were installed as a dividing was between the egr ports to help block and blend the exhaust gasses. Its not like your in for a huge butt Dyno gain !.

Awesome did you do that yourself or have someone do it for you? How much power did you gain? Also, what is the stock throttle body size? Is it 52mm?

There is no " power gain " because those lumps are not the most restricting part of a TPI system
