Fuel Leak
Hi Everyone, I have a 92 Trans Am with the 305 TPI engine. I just purchased the car and noticed that when cruising there is a smell of gas from under the hood.
I have noticed gas sitting on the intake. The previous owner had told me that he had replaced the injectors with some larger Bosch units, but not sure how long ago that was.
Could it be possible it is just the O-rings leaking? If so is this a big job to fix?
Thanks for your suggestions.

Its possible that the O-rings that go into the fuel rail could be leaking, it should be noticeable when running the car, if you can peer in under there. Could also be the fuel rail, but I have never seen someone crack one, or generally break it. those are the only things that come to mind, the fuel lines and where they connect to the fuel rail, is a bit forward of the intake manifold. you should be able to check that if you want after you have the snorkel off, if memory serves me correct.
The job is.... not to bad, . It can take some fiddling, especially on the passenger side. but its not terrible. there is plenty of videos on youtube on the job, and it will take a few hours for a first time. if needed I can go into more detail on the specifics
