when you disconnect the MAF it should throw a code, when it does that, it goes into a "default" mode where the engine runs with dumping fuel in, running a higher idle and has no regard for emissions (which is really the only reason for the computer in these era cars) so it just does what it needs to in order to run.
what made you want to disconnect the MAF in the first place?

We'll when I disconnect it it will run .....but when I drive it while it's disconnected once the rims get around 800 like if I'm coming to a stop or something it will try to stall out.....and the reason why I disconnected the maf is cause a mechanic friend of mine told me to try it and when the engine started and ran we assumed that was the issue but...we were very wrong

It should throw a check engine light with the maf unplugged as stated. You can guess and throw parts on it all day to no avail.
On my car I had a maf code, bought one from amazon , put it on and no difference. Went and got one from ac delco and it purrs like a kitten. But it should throw a code if maf related.
Does the check engine light work and not burnt out? It should come on with the key in the on position.

Yea, I don't recall exactly what brand the first maf I bought was. But they can be bad even out of the box. I knew my original was junk because I could see the filament was broken inside it.
First thing I suggest would be check to see if that light is operational. If not put a bulb in it and check for ECM codes. These sensors on these tpi engines will give you fits as I'm sure you know. No need in wasting money and time guessing. A lot of good write ups here and people willing to help but gotta have a place to start first.
