91 L98 starts with starts with starting fluid, runs ok afterwards.
Did a intake gasket kit on a 91 L98 Z. Car started and ran fine up until this.
Little background: Mothed owned this car forever, always ran perfect until the fuel pump died and the car sat for a long time, put new fuel pump in 2~ years ago, started with no issue even after sitting for close to 10 years. Also added an aftermarket CTS at this time.
Did the intake gasket set (upper, lower) car wouldn't start unless cycled the key on and off 10~ times. Wierd but seemed to work, idled up and down some, ran super rich sometimes. Found out the TB was halfway assembled and had a huge vacuum leak at the IAC, tightened all this up, car fired right up..
Now it has sit all night and again will not start. Starter fluid fires it right up and it runs ok (not great like it did before), car used to fire instantly, now takes a lot of turning over and even then won't start %90 of time...
Any ideas where to start, I know I need to check fuel pressure and ill probably check the resistance on all the injectors. Also planning the check spark.
Possible CTS failure? Should I have the ICM tested? IAC issue? Oil pressure gauge has also seemed very low for the 10-15 years my mother drove this car, could the sensor have failed and cause a no start issue?
Any other ideas??
Thanks
